Our team at GLP Worldwide is proud to once again to offer another season of luxury cruising aboard AMAWATERWAYS - the clear leader amongst river cruise operations.

In spite of the economic challenges of these times, the quality of our programs have brought our loyal travellers back for more and AMAWATERWAYS have been able to add two new ships to the European fleet in 2009, the MS Amadolce and MS Amalyra, each capitalizing on the success of their predecessors. Like their sisters, these new ships feature beautifully appointed cabins, most with sliding glass doors and French balconies as well as all the amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel.

As in previous years, our itineraries range from the North Sea to the Black Sea covering the Rhine, Main, Danube and Mosel Rivers and all the exquisite towns and cities that look upon them. We also feature our extremely popular Russian Waterways programs as well as the Destination series along the captivating Rhone River through Provence and the Douro River of Portugal. And last but not least our newly introduced “Riches of the Mekong” cruise encompassing Cambodia and Vietnam will surely enchant visitors to this culturally rich area of Indochina.

Often people come to us who have never cruised before - their interest piqued by tales of magical experiences, many good laughs and the ease of it all, from friends and family. These 'virgin' cruisers shudder at the thought of being herded around like mice on a gargantuan ocean liner or tossed about on the high seas. With ships holding no more than 90 to about 150 guests or so and being restricted mostly to rivers of only a few hundred metres wide, one quickly realizes that the experience of river cruising is more like enjoying a cozy country inn where the proprietors and other guests are more like family and the only rocking is in a comfy chair peering out at the countryside.
